In the science of photography, exchangeable image file format (EXIF) is a term often used by professional photographers or a newbie photographer. So what is exchangeable image file format (EXIF) ?
According to the wikipedia, Exchangeable Image File Format (EXIF) is a standard that specifies the formats for images, sound, and ancillary tags used by digital cameras (including smartphones), scanners and other image handling systems and sound files recorded by digital cameras. In digital cameras, JPEG, RAW and TIFF will have the exif data. Examples of stored information are shutter speed, date and time a photo was taken, focal length, exposure compensation, metering pattern and if a flash was used.
